Presentation of annual Dionysios Solomos Awards to Higher School Certificate students, who achieved the highest marks in Modern and Classical Greek. The conferring of these awards recognises students' talents and encourages them to strive for excellence in further language studies. This event aims to support the active maintenance and preservation of the Greek language.
The Dionysios Solomos Awards, are named in honour of Greek poet Dionysios Solomos whose incredible body of work includes the Hymn to Freedom which was latter adopted as the Greek National Anthem, after Independence.
