GREEK WOMEN WRITERS IN EXILE - a lecture in Greek

In this lecture, Dr Panayiota Nazou addresses the way in which exile was experienced in the works of three celebrated Greek women writers, Melpo Axiote, Mimika Kranaki and Alki Zei. The lecture focuses on the comparative analysis of central themes, including female exile, ideology and the concept of the Other.
These central themes are the main concerns of all three writers in their novels; My Home by Melpo Axiote, Philellines by Mimika Kranaki and Achilles' Fiance by Alki Zei.
Dr Panayiota Nazou is a Lecturer, Department of Modern Greek, Sydney University.
