The Philosophy of Love by Dr Edward Spence is a celebrated annual event of the Greek Festival of Sydney.

Through a talk, dramatic performance by actors, audience participation and liberating discussion, The Philosophy of Love will explore the contemporary relevance and significance of aspects of Plato's philosophy.

In particular, through Plato's dialogue The Symposium, it will explore the concept of love in all its different manifestations.


The philosophical presentation will be accompanied throughout by a sumptuous banquet of food on the theme of love with a selection of wines by the highly awarded Perama's celebrated chefs David and Harry.
