The Revolution of 1821 and Georgios Karaiskakis Presented by Vasilis Kolovos
A genius of strategy, he possessed a strong class political instinct, was unyielding, honest and ingenious. He died as he was born, stripped of all possessions. Had Karaiskakis not been assassinated by a fellow Greek while still young, had his strategic assessments been trusted, the battle of Faliro, which determined the outcome of the national struggle, would have a different result and the development of the revolution would have had taken different directions, in favour of the people, against the will of the foreign "protector" powers and their local lackeys.
