Let’s Cook Greek Workshops

To celebrate the culinary tastes of Greece the Greek Festival of Sydney has dedicated a section of the cultural program to food. In addition to special events hosted by some of Sydney’s favourite Greek restaurants, where you are privy to some of the most delectable Greek dishes that Greece has to offer, you also have the opportunity to learn to cook some of Greece’s favourite dishes.

Let’s Cook Greek founded by two home cooks who over many years have been learning the authentic way of cooking traditional Greek dishes as taught to them by their mothers and grandmothers are conducting workshops to let you in on the secret to a great Greek home cooked meal.  Toula Varipatis and Koula Tzannes have realised the importance of capturing these recipes and the techniques involved, and passing them on before they are lost forever.

“We see the need to capture those traditional Greek recipes as our mothers and grandmothers used to make, before they are lost out of our kitchens forever.  Our classes are a demonstration of how simple and fun Greek cooking can be” said Toula of their thinking behind the idea of devising the requirement of these workshops.

Upcoming workshops include a Men’s Greek BBQ cooking class on 14th April where you can learn to become the master of the BBQ with dishes like melt in your mouth slow cooked lamb and in an Easter Cooking class on the 20th April to prepare you for the most important culinary celebration on the Greek calendar.

All classes are in a demonstration style format with sampling of all dishes and surprise giveaways.
