The Greek Community Home for the Aged, an initiative of the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW, has proudly cared for older Australians for generations. Located in Earlwood, our facility provides residential aged care services within a close-knit community that celebrates cultural heritage while embracing contemporary aged care standards.

We currently have vacancies across morning, afternoon, and night shifts.


About the Role

As an Aged Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing of our residents.

Working collaboratively with our nursing and care teams, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred care tailored to each resident’s individual needs. This includes assisting with activities of daily living, personal care, mobility support, and always promoting independence and dignity.

You will contribute to a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where residents can enjoy the highest possible quality of life.

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent qualification

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification

  • Previous experience in residential aged care (preferred)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • A genuine passion for caring for older people

  • Understanding of person-centred care principles

  • Knowledge of, and sensitivity to, the needs of people living with dementia

  • A respectful and compassionate approach to resident care

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)

  • Ability to communicate effectively in Greek (essential)
