Greek Community Home for the Aged is a well-established not-for-profit residential aged care home supporting older people within the Greek community in Sydney. The home is located in Earlwood, NSW, and is operated by the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW.

We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our clinical team and provide high-quality, person-centred care to our residents.



About the Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering safe, person-centred clinical care to residents in accordance with professional standards, legislative requirements and organisational policies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering comprehensive nursing care and clinical assessments to residents.

  • Administering medications and treatments in accordance with medical and allied health directives.

  • Monitoring, evaluating and documenting resident care and clinical outcomes.

  • Developing and reviewing care plans in collaboration with residents, families and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Responding to changes in residents’ health conditions and escalating concerns appropriately.

  • Supervising and supporting care staff to ensure high standards of care delivery.

  • Maintaining accurate, timely and legally compliant clinical documentation.

  • Ensuring compliance with infection control, accreditation and aged care quality standards.

  • Communicating effectively with residents, families, medical practitioners and allied health professionals.

  • Participating in continuous improvement activities and professional development.

Position Details

  • Location: Greek Community Home for the Aged, 2 Woolcott Street, Earlwood NSW 2206.

  • Employment Type: Part - Time.

  • Typical Shift Times: Rotating roster

  • Award: Nurses Award 2020 and applicable Enterprise Agreement.

  • Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a commitment to quality aged care and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.


Essential requirements include:


  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse within residential aged care.

  • Sound clinical assessment and decision-making skills.

  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.

  • Evidence of relevant vaccinations in line with aged care requirements.

  • Greek language skills or experience working in culturally specific aged care services will be highly regarded.
