The Greek Orthodox Community of NSW Supports Team Greece at the 2026 World Aquatics Water Polo World Cup Finals – Exclusive 10% Ticket Discount for our community

The Greek Orthodox Community of New South Wales is proud to support the 2026 World Aquatics Water Polo World Cup Finals, to be held at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre from 22 to 26 July 2026.

Hosted by Water Polo Australia and World Aquatics, the tournament will bring together leading men’s and women’s national teams for five days of world-class competition. Participating nations include Greece, Australia, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Hungary, Montenegro, Georgia, the United States, the Netherlands, Russia and China.

The Greek Orthodox Community of NSW is particularly proud to support the Greek Men’s National Water Polo Team and warmly encourages the Greek Australian community to attend and cheer for Greece.

GREECE'S OPENING MATCH

Thursday 23 July 2026 | Greece v Montenegro | 4:45 pm AEST | Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre

Greece will begin its World Cup Finals campaign against Montenegro in the Men’s Quarter Finals. This important match offers the Greek Australian community a special opportunity to come together, proudly display the blue and white and support Greece on home soil.

Depending on the result of the quarter-final, Greece will continue its campaign on:

• Friday 24 July 2026

Men’s playoff matches at 3:00 pm or 4:45 pm AEST

• Saturday 25 July 2026

Men’s classification matches at 3:00 pm or 4:45 pm AEST, or a Men’s Semi-Final at 6:30 pm or 8:15 pm AEST

• Sunday 26 July 2026

Men’s Bronze Medal Match at 2:30 pm AEST or Men’s Gold Medal Match at 6:00 pm AEST

This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together, support our athletes and celebrate Greek sporting excellence on the international stage.”

The tournament is the first occasion on which Australia will host both the men’s and women’s World Aquatics Water Polo World Cup Finals together. It will feature the top eight men’s and women’s nations competing at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.
